Notes

• Season 2026 according to the NYS Canal Corporation from May 15 to October 14 (6 pm), locks and lift bridges daily 8:00 to 18:00, some until 21:00 until September 9. No fee for pleasure craft in 2026. Call on VHF channel 13, by phone or with three long blasts; wait at the blue line 300 ft before the lock. In the chamber do not make lines fast, only hold them.
• Erie Canal lift bridge: closed only about 3 ft (0.9 m) above the water, raised 16.3 to 17 ft (5 to 5.2 m). Call on VHF channel 13 or give three long blasts at least 1,000 ft before; pass only when the bridge is fully raised and the light is green.
