- Danube: The BinSchStrO applies on the German Danube; in Austria and downstream the rules of the riparian states based on the Danube Commission's basic rules. A foreign licence or the ICC is recognised in Austria. Only Serbia lies outside Schengen: clear out and in at Mohács in Hungary and at Vukovar in Croatia, in Serbia at a border port such as Bezdan, Novi Sad, Belgrade or Prahovo. The Bavarian locks work around the clock, but at night between Obernau and Regensburg only with commercial vessels; at the Austrian locks viadonau publishes reference times for small craft. A pleasure boat needs the permission of the Romanian canal authority ACN for the Danube-Black Sea Canal.
