- USACE floodgates where the Intracoastal Waterway crosses the Brazos River (mile 400.8 W); open while the current in the river stays below 2 miles per hour and the head difference below 1.8 feet, otherwise one vessel at a time or closed (33 CFR 207.187). Radio on VHF 12, 13, 14 and 16, call sign WUI 411.
- Closed Monday to Friday, except federal holidays, from 7:00 to 19:00 until the end of 2026 for work on the guide walls and gates; check with the lockmaster first (Local Notice to Mariners, week 41/2026).
