- Lock tenders on VHF 13, bridges on VHF 9. In the chamber wear life jackets and stop the engine; a lockage takes 15 to 20 min.
- Closed at times in autumn 2026 while the manatee protection system is serviced (USACE, NTN 2026-019); without it there are no lockages.
