- Die Docktore stehen nur in den zwei Stunden vor Hochwasser offen, sonst sind sie geschlossen: ein- und auslaufen nur in diesem Fenster.
- Die Gastliegeplätze (31 Plätze an Stegen, 8 weitere an einem 60 m langen Steg) liegen im Becken in der Südwestecke des Docks; vorher beim Hafenbüro nach einem Platz fragen. Im Dock gehaltener Wasserstand 8,5 m bei MHWS, 7,0 m bei MHWN.
- Lage des Tors genähert (Südspitze des Commercial Dock in OpenStreetMap, das Tor selbst ist dort nicht eingetragen). Die Routenplanung endet für Galway vor dem Dock und rechnet das Tidenfenster nicht ein.
