The railway bridge in front of the US locks is about 4.9 m high when closed and opens on signal, the International Bridge has 124 ft. The river is the border between Canada and the USA: boats only passing through do not report; anyone who lands or anchors in the other country reports at once (Canada to the CBSA, +1 888-226-7277; USA through the CBP ROAM app).
