Rules on the lake
Lake Velence: As on Lake Balaton, small craft and boats with combustion engines are prohibited on the whole lake (exceptions for authorities and with an operating permit). The auxiliary engine of a sailing boat may be used without a permit only in the harbour and within 300 m of it, in emergencies, during a storm warning and in less than force 1, and then only to reach the nearest harbour.
